He m. Ella Odenbach who was b. c. 1916 and d. 13 Aug 2004 at the age of 88 years. Her obituary appears in the 24 Aug 2004 "The Hinton Parklander" in Hinton, Alberta, Canada, and reada as follows:

    2004-08-13 - Ella Prentice nee: Odenbach, of Breton.

    Mrs. Ella Prentice of Breton passed away August 13, 2004 at the age of 88 years. She will be sadly missed by two daughters, Lois (Keith) Burger of Breton, Joyce Francis) Lachance of Lindale; two sons, Roy (Evelyn) of Winterburn, Gordon (Linda) of Drayton Valley; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great granddaughters; sister, Helen Frank of Ponoka; brothers, Albert (Mary) of Rimbey, Ruben (Gladys) of Rocky Mountain House; brother-in-law, Jim Williams of Edson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Ella was predeceased by her husband, Roy Prentice in 1991; sisters, Martha, Ruth; brothers, Reinhold, Ben;

    Funeral Services were held on August 18, 2004 at 2:00 pm from Tinant?s Funeral Chapel in Drayton Valley with Pastor Dwayne Henley officiating. Interment followed in Riverview Cemetery, Drayton Valley. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society, Suite 307 10109-106 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5J 3L7 as expressions of sympathy. Drayton Valley Funeral Services, cTinant Funeral Directors in care of arrangements (780) 542-5511.
