He m. Catherine/Katherine who was b. c. 1868, MI. The 1900 census shows that her father was b. in England and that her mother was b. in MA. She appears in the 1930 census in Bangor, Bay Co., MI, living with her son, William. They had 1 or more children, including:

2. Edward Prentice was b. c. 1897 in MI. He appears in the 1930 census in Bangor, Bay Co., MI with his wife and family.

He m. Dorothy, b. c. 1897, MI. Children per 1930 census records:

  1. Katherine Prentice, b. c. 1925, MI. At home in Bangor, Bay Co., MI in 1930 census. She m. Mr. Warmbier and in 2006 lived in Michigan (per obit., below).

3. William "Bill" Prentice was b. 24 Jul 1931 in Bay City, MI, and d. 17 Aug 2006 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Spokane, WA. His Obituary reads as follows:

    William "Bill" Prentice, 75, of Libby, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Spokane, Wash. He was born July 24, 1931, in Bay City, Mich., to Edward and Dorthea Prentice. He was raised and educated in Michigan.

    Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

    He had been a painting contractor in Phoenix, Ariz., for many years until his retirement. He came to Libby in 1997 where he had since resided.

    Survivors include his wife Ruby of Libby; three daughters, Billie, Patty and Pamela, all of Mesa City, Ariz.; two sisters, Loretta Dunning of Mesa, and Katie Warmbier of Michigan; nine grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Pat Whitefield of Libby.

    Graveside services were held Tuesday at the City of Libby Cemetery. Nelson & Vial Funeral Home handled arrangements.
