He m. Alice Arnold in 1902 in St. Leonards, NSW, Australia. They had 1 or more children (per NSW BMD):

  1. Bessie O. Prentice, b. 1903, St. Leonards, NSW, Australia. NSW BMD does not show a marriage for a Bessie, Bess or Elizabeth Prentice in an appropriate time frame. She may have died or married elsewhere.

We also note that the following marriages took place in St. Leonards, NSW among Prentices who may, or may not, be related to William Prentice:

  1. James T. Prentice m. Catherine Ferguson in 1919, St. Leonards. He might be a son of James Prentice and Elizabeth Ferguson which suggests the possibility that his father, James Prentice, might be a brother of William Prentice.
