Update of 16 Sep 2005: Homer H. Prentice is the son of Nelson E. and Nellie Prentice, a descendant of John3, and #1075 in our eBook.

1. Homer H. Prentice was b. c. 1918-1922, living in 2004, and not in SSDI as of Sep 2005. Veteran Burial records show that he served as a Corporal in the U. S. Army.

He m. Hilda A., b. 8 May 1922, Bradford Woods, PA and d. Sunday 5 Sep 2004 at the age of 82 at Tandem Health Care of St. Petersburg, Pinellas Co., FL. She is bur. in Sec. 59, Row 4, Site ll, Bay Pines National Cem., Bay Pines, FL. Her obituary relates that:

    Hilda came to St. Petersburg in 2003 from Fort Atkinson, Wis. She was a seasonal resident for 16 years before moving here. She was a secretary for 15 years for the University of Michigan. She attended Northwest Presbyterian Church in Kenneth City. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Homer H.; three daughters, Diana Sattler, Hillsboro Beach, Pamela Prentice, Dallas, and Elaine Prentice, Cambridge, Wis.; a sister, Clara Charles, Seminole; and three grandchildren. R. Lee Williams & Son Funeral Home & Crematory, 49th Street N Chapel, St. Petersburg.

Children of Homer and Hilda, per obituary:

  1. Diana Prentice. She m. Mr. Sattler, Hillsboro Beach.
  2. Pamela Prentice, Dallas.
  3. Elaine Prentice, Cambridge, WI.
