1. George Prentice was b. c. 1893 in OH. He m. Muriel, b. c. 1897, MI. They appear in the 1920 census in Ecorse, Wayne Co., MI.

George may have d. before 1930 as Muriel apparently married, 2nd, August Grunwald, b. c. 1892, Germany..

  1. George Prentice, b. c. 1914, MI. Not home in the 1930 census.
  2. Riley W. Prentice, b. 10 Nov 1914, obtained his SS# in MI, and d. 23 Nov 2001, Wellston, Manistee, MI (per SSDI). 1915, MI. He appears in the 1930 census in Wyandotte, Wayne Co., MI, living with his mother and step-father.
  3. Stanley W. Prentice, b. 26 Dec 1916, MI, and d. 21 Oct 1993, Lincoln Park, Wayne Co., MI (per SSDI). He appears in the 1930 census in Wyandotte, Wayne Co., MI, living with his mother and step-father.
  4. Clarence Prentice, b. 8 May 1918, MI, and d. 19 Mar 1993, Manito, Mason Co., IL (per SSDI). He appears in the 1930 census in Wyandotte, Wayne Co., MI, living with his mother and step-father.
  5. Anna Prentice, b. c. 1920, MI. She appears in the 1930 census in Wyandotte, Wayne Co., MI, living with his mother and step-father.

Who are George Prentice's Parents?

George may, or may not, be the George Jacob Prentice who registered for the Draft in WW I. According to Ancestry.com , that George was b. 26 Apr 1892 in Grey Town, OH. At the time of this 1917 registration, he had a wife and 3 children and was then living in Kalamazoo, MI.

George may, or may not, be a brother to Charles Edward Prentice, b. 13 Feb 1885, OH, who appears in the 1920 census in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., MI, with his wife, Della, b. c. 1880, MI. His 1917 WW I Draft Registration shows he was a Teamster, then living in Kalamazoo, and that his mother was Elizabeth Prentice
