Who are Samuel Prentiss' Parents?

Although further investigation is needed, Samuel's father may be John Prentiss, b. c. 1790-1800, who appears in th 1830 census with the following family:

  1. 2 sons, ages 1-4, b. c. 1816-20. These 2 sons might include Samuel, b.c. 1816.
  2. 3 sons, age 10-15, b. c. 1815-1820.
  3. 2 sons, ages 15-20, b. c. 1810-1815.
  4. 1 Male, age20-30, b. c. 1800-1810.
  5. 1 Male, age 30-40, b. c. 1790-1800. This would be John Prentiss, head of the family.
  6. 1 Female, age 30-40, b. c. 1790-1800. This would be John Prentiss' wife.

And, while only tentative, John might be John Prentiss who is #130/199 in our 1997 PRENTICE book who was b. 1793 who had connections to the sea.
