1. Ross Prentice was b. c. 1892 in Indiana. He first appears in the 1920 census in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH, as a Linotype operator with his wife and daughter.
He m. Edna, b. c. 1893, MI. They had 1 or more children, including:
- Catherine Prentice, b. c. 1910, MI. At home in 1910. Not in 1920 census by that surname.
Ross does not appear in the 1930 census. A check in Ancestry.com, Rootsweb.com, the SSDI and the LDS site was not fruitful.
The only clue we have so far is from the 1920 census that says both of his parents were born in Indiana.
With that information, we though he might be the Jacob R. Prentice, shown in the 1910 census in Elmore, Daviess Co., IN, as b. c. 1892, IN, son of John M. Prentice (b. c. 1847, IN) and Pheoba (b. c. 1853, IN). That turned out to be incorrect as he is Jacob Romo Prentice, #16.4a in our Robert Prentice eBook and has a different marriage and children.
