1. John Prentice was b. c. 1849 in Priors Marston, Warwick, England. He appears in the 1881 census living at 46 Ashford St., Beswick, Lancashire, England with his wife, Sarah, b. c. 1849 in Priors Marston. He was then a Railway Goods Guard. Children appearing in the 1881 census:
- William T. Prentice, b. c. 1872, Priors Marston.
- George E. Prentice, b. c. 1874, Priors Marston.
- Mary E. Prentice, b. c. 1875, Manchester, Lancashire.
John does not appear in the IGI, nor are there any other entries for Priors Marston in the IGI or the 1881 census.
