1. James Prentice (spelled "Jas Prenties), a Drayman, was b. c. 1836 in NY. Not in the 1850 or 1860 census, he first appears in the 1870 St. Louis, St. Louis Co., MO census with his wife and family.
He m. Anna, b. c. 1838, MO. They had 3 or more children, including:
- Jossie Prentice, b. c. 1863, MO.
- James/Jim Prentice, b. c. 1867, MO.
- Joseph/Joe Prentice, b. c. 1869, MO.
