    By email of 16 Jan 2000, Linda Williams has provided us with information about the following family:

    1. Susan Prentice was b. probably about 1760-1775 at an unknown location, but probably in the general vicinity of Warwick, Franklin Co., MA. Susan died 31 Mar 1811.

    Susan married, as his 2nd wife, John Williams of Warwick, MA and later Montague, Franklin Co., MA. John was b. 10 Apr 1766 and died 14 Mar 1828. The date of their marriage is not yet know, but it was probably about 1799-1800. No information about Susan and John is found in Ancestry.com as of Jan 2006.

    Susan and John had at least four children:

    1. Susan Williams, b. 23 Jun 1801
    2. John Williams Jr., b. 17 Dec 1803
    3. Sophronia Williams, b. 4 Jul 1804.
    4. Nancy Williams, b. c. 1812 and called of Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. She m. Tyler Spooner on 25 Apr 1830. He was b. 18 Jan 1809. They had 1 or more children, including:
      1. Francis Lee Spooner, b. 3 Jul 1831. He m. Olive Markham on 26 Sep 1858. She was b. c. 1829.

    John Williams' first wife was Sally Smith and they had a daughter, Patty Smith, b. 21 Jul 1790 and d. 19 Nov 1812. She is buried in the Warwick cemetery. Patty died in 1798. After Susan Prentice died, John married, as his 3rd wife, Sarah Allen after Susan Prentice's death. They are not known to have had any children.

    A check of the IGI does not reveal any Susan Prentice born in the right time frame who would be the Susan Prentice discussed in this article.
