1. R. H. Prentice appears in the 1840 York Twp., Noble Co., IN census
Both he and his wife were born between 1810 and 1820 and in 1840 were then 20 to 30 years of age. Their children were:
- A daughter, b. c. 1825-30 and in 1840 was 10 to 15 years old. Given the relatively young age of the mother, the daughter was likely only 10 or 11.
- A son, b. c. 1835-40 and in 1840 was less then 5 years old.
We have also received from Daniel Replogle a Death Record for Floyd Prentis, b. c. Dec 1883 and died 8 months later on 25 Aug 1884. The name of the father is R. D. Prentis. The mother's name is not given. It is unknown if he is related to R. H. Prentice.
