Update of 28 Feb 2004: James appears to be the same person as #117 in our Valentine-3 eBook, Junius Cireno Prentice, b. c. 1803, in NY, who m. Abigail Skinner.
Original Article: 1. James Prentice was born in NY, probably between 1790 and 1812. He married Abigail Skinner who was born in CT in that same time frame.
James and Abigail seem not to appear in the 1850 NY census, nor do they appear in presently available IL records, and we do not presently know the location to which they may have moved. They had 1 or more children, including:
- John P. Prentice, was b. 15 Dec 1832 in Augusta, Oneida, NY. J ohn married Martha A. Culton and settled in Canton, Fulton, IL.
