Alaska Prentices in the 1900 Census

The 1900 Census contains the following individuals who we have not yet been able to identify. For convenience, spellings of the PRENTICE, PRENTIS and PRENTISS surnames have been consolidated into a single surname spelling. Comments references, such as 278/58, are to the page and number of individuals in our new PRENTICE book.

If the name you are looking for is not there, that person may have already been identified and you may contact us at dewald@prenticenet.com.

_________________________

Fn. 1	John A. Prentice is a carpenter, living alone. His father was born in NY
and his mother in OH. Available 1850 OH census records shows only
one person who comes close: "John Prentice," b. c. 1847 whose father, Horatio
Prentice, was born in NY but his mother is shown as born in NY rather than OH.
John's family may have been missed in the 1850 OH census, or, like a great
many families in that period, may have moved on before the census was taken.

If you have any information which can help us identify any of the folks mentioned
above, please contact us at dewald@prenticenet.com..
