    1. Unknown Prentiss may have been b. c. 1867-1871 at an unknown location. The 1930 census for his son, Walter, says that his father was born in the "United States. The 1930 census shows his wife as divorced, and he does not appear with his wife in the 1910 census in Ipswich, Essex Co., MA, where his wife and son were living.

    He m. Lucy, b. c. 1871, "Canada English," as where her parents. In 1910 she was a Winder in a Yarn Mill. They had 1 or more children, including:

    1. Walter Prentiss, b. c. 1893, MA. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [2]

    2. Walter Prentiss, b. c. 1893, MA. Neither Walter nor Lucy appear in the 1900 census although Walter would have then been about 7 years of age; perhaps Walter and his mother had returned to Canada, but if so, they do not appear in the 1901 Canada census and they had returned by the time of the 1910 Ipswich, MA, census. In the 1930 census Walter appears in Ipswich, Essex Co., MA, with his wife and family and with her parents, George E. and Ella D. Parsons, both b. in MA..

    He m. Myna Parsons who was b. c. 1903, MA, as were her parents. Known children:

    1. Marjorie Prentiss, b. c. 1921, MA. 1930 at home in Ipswich, MA.
    2. Ruth Prentiss, b. c. 1925, MA. 1930 at home in Ipswich, MA.
    3. George Edward Prentiss, b. c. 1927, MA. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [3]

    3. George Edward Prentiss, b. c. 1927, MA. 1930 at home in Ipswich, MA. In 1949 he was living in Springfield, Windsor Co., VT, with his wife and family.

    He m. Elizabeth Arlene Johnson who was b. c. 1927, Gloucester, MA.

    1. Linda Jane Prentiss, b. 16 Aug 1949, Springfield, Windsor Co., VT.
