We found the following information in the 1901 and 1911 census on Lambton (East/Est) District, Enniskillen Subdistrict and on Ancestry.com :
1. James Prentice may have been b. c. 1830-1840 at an unknown location.
He m. Jane Muir per Cheryl Penry, email, 17 Mar 2009 citing Ontario Canada Marriages, 1657-1924,. They had 1 or more children, including, per Cheryl Penry:
- Dugald/Dugall W. Prentice was b. 19 Jan 1861. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [2]
2. Dugald/Dugall W. Prentice (or Dugall Thomas Prentice) was b. 19 Jan 1861, Markam, Ontario, Canada and d. 24 Nov 1933, Lambton, Ontario, Canada. He appears in the 1901 and 1911 census in Enniskillen, Lambton East, Ontario, Canada.
He m. on 9 Nov 1899, Lambton. She was b. 26 Jul 1876, per the 1901 census. However, the 1911 census identifies his wife as Catherine, b. Jul 1877. An Ancestor Chart for her can be found at Ancestry.com .

- William Edward Prentice, b. 31 Aug 1900, Lambton, Ontario. At home in 1911. He m. Claire G. Eveland. They had 5 sons:

- Anna Maria "Annie" Prentice, b. 5 Feb 1907, Lambton, Ontario. At home in 1911.
- Phillip James Prentice, b. 16 Jan 1901, Petrolia, Ontario, and d. May 1991, Windsor, Ontario, (U. S. Consulate), Canada. He m. Miss Carpenter and had a daughter who m. Mr. Gould.
- Catherine L. Prentice, b. 15 Jan 1912.
- Sarah Teresa Prentice, b. 11 Nov 1914.
- Daniel Thomas Prentice, b. 1 Oct 1917, Sarina, Ontario., and d. 2 ov 1969, Toronto, Ontario. He m. MIss Mayes and had a son.
- Alice Prentice, b. 1922.
