Who are George Prentice's Parents? A search of our records, the IGI and Scotland Christenings did not disclose any George Prentice born in Shotts in an appropriate time frame.
We did, however, find a George Prentice b. in our Spring 2000 issue at Prentices of Whitburn, Scotland ; he is shown in as George Prentice, chr. 6 Aug 1765, Whitburn, son of James Prentice and Marrion Waddel. Whitburn lies only about 6 or 7 miles NE of Shotts.
