In researching a record of births and christenings provided by Kerry Prentice, we found the following family:
1. Simon Printisse was probably b. c. 1700-1712 and probably in or near Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England.
He m. 1st Agnes Care on 9 Sep 1632, Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England (per IGI). Children:
- John Prentisse, chr. 2 Jul 1633, Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England
It may be that Agnes died because thereafter the records show the following children of Simon and his 2nd wife, Anne
- Margrett Prentis, chr. 11 Oct 1635, Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England
- Richard Prentis, chr. Mar 1638, Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England
- Thomas Prenties, chr. 13 Nov 1640, Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England
- Elizabeth Prentis, chr. 5 Dec 1644, Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England
- Anne Prentis, chr. 5 May 1647, Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England
- Mary Prentis, chr. 9 May 1649, Goxhill, Lincolnshire, England
Who are Simon Prentisse's Parents? A check of the IGI does not disclose the birth of any Simon Prentisse (and spelling variations) prior to his 1632 marriage at Goxhill.
