    Update of 18 Aug 2009: Mary Prentice is #2i in our Spring 2001 article entitled Daniel Prentice of Tryon Co., NY and Charlottenburgh, Ontario, Canada .

    We found the following information posted by Gail Martin at Ancestry.com .

    1. Mary Prentice is shown as b. c. 1780, Ile de Montreal, Quebec, Canada (per LDS Pedigree Resource File). That 1780 date is suspect because she would have been only 12-13 years old at the time of her 1792-93 marriage.

    She m. John Clark on 5 Nov 1792/1793 in St. Andrew's, Williamstown, Glengarry, Ontario, Canada.

      Note: Margaret Cameron's email of 3 May 2010, says that he is not the John Clarke, a fur trader, who was the son of Simon Clarke and Eve Ann Waldorf who was b. c. 1781 in Montreal and d. 19 Dec 1852, Cornwall, Ontario. That John Clarke would have been onbly about 11 or 12 in 1792/3. Margaret is a descendant of Eve Ann Waldorf.

    So far the only clue we have is that Gail Martin has suggested Mary Prentice May be related to Daniel Prentice of Tryon Co., NY and Canada but we do not yet have any documentation for any such link.
