    1. William R. Prentice was b. c. 1887 in England and emigrated to the United States in 1900 via PA. He appears in the 1920 Spokane Co., WA census with his wife, Stella M. (Foster?), b. c. 1898 in WA and with their children:

    1. Harriett V. Prentice, b. c. 1916 in ID.
    2. Marjorie W. Prentice, b. c. 1919 in WA.

    Also living with the family was Charlotte M. Foster, called mother in law, perhaps indicating that William's wife's maiden name was Stella M. Foster.

    Who are William R. Prentice's Parents?

    We checked the 1891 census and found the following 3 men who might be William and who do not appear in the 1901 census:

    1. Harold Wm W Prentice, b. c. 1886, Leicester, Leicestershire, England
    2. William Prentice, b. c. 1886, Sandon, Essex, England
    3. William Prentice, b. c. 1887, Norwich, Norfolk, England.
