We are helping Lisa Prentice in tracing her family roots. Here is what we have so far:
1. Alexander Prentice was b. c. 1910-1915 and d. 1962 in the United States. He is said to come from Liverpool, England, but it is not yet clear whether that was his place of birth. He and his family settled initially in Canada, perhaps Ottawa. In 1955 they moved to the United States.
He m. Devina Stenhouse in England before 1947. She was b. c. 1917. Children:
- John Prentice, b. 6 Oct 1947, Liverpool, England. . . . . . . . . . . [2]
- Patricia Prentice.
- David Prentice.
- Allister Prentice.
- David(?) Prentice.
2. John Prentice, b. 6 Oct 1947, Liverpool, England, and d. 3 Dec 1999 in St. Augustine, FL (per Lisa Prentice, email, 13 Sep 2006) and SSDI). He emigrated with his family to Canada, perhaps Ottawa, and then in 1955 to the United States, settling in St. Augustine, FL where he obtained his Social Security number.
He m. and had 1 or more children, including:
- Lisa Prentice of Gainesville, FL.
